A view of the complete probe. Many of these can be connected in a chain, like extension of a phone. Yet every node is identified by a 64-bit registration number which is factory lasered into each 1-Wire chip. The node senses temperature, daylight intensity and "activity". Additionally 4096 bits (512 bytes) of read/write nonvolatile memory are available for node info relevant to the application. A program running on the TINI will poll the nodes periodically. A data log file is kept on the TINI's file system and is transfered to the campus servers opportunely. © 2005 Claro Noda, UH. All rights reserved. |
